About Annie's Naturals


People wonder if there is a real Annie behind Annie’s Naturals. That would be me.

I live in Vermont with my husband, Peter, and our son on a farm that Peter’s family has kept going for seven generations.

I didn’t start out running a natural foods business in Vermont. I started out as an artist in New York City, but I found myself more interested in grocery stores than art galleries. That sent me to cooking school (I trained in classical French methods) which sent me, of course, to... barbecue. It was running a barbecue stand here in Vermont that got me into bottling sauces, which then got me into salad dressings and marinades. Here I am today, the proud creator of the top dressings in the natural foods market.

So, yes, there is a real Annie. Not only do I exist, I actually develop all the recipes for my products right here on the farm. And, as the business has grown, so has my interest in healthy eating. I seek out natural or organic ingredients, of the highest quality and flavor... even if they cost a little more. I don’t use genetically modified ingredients, and I am constantly working on recipes – like gluten-free and vinegar-free products – to meet people’s dietary needs.

Annie’s Naturals products incorporate my – and my family’s – commitment to high quality, real value and great taste.
